Learn and apply the principles of electric and automation technology as well as control and regulation technology
Assemble and disassemble modules
Measure, evaluate and calculate electric and physical variables
Install and configure operating systems and application programs
Set up and operate automated testing equipment
Observe process structures and interfaces and recognise interactions with automation systems
Maintain electric components and drives
Troubleshoot automated systems
Develop multidisciplinary potential solutions as part of a project team
General certificate of secondary education, vocational certificate or general qualification for university entrance
Sound knowledge of mathematics and physics
Analytical and abstract thought processes and technical understanding
Interest in modern electronic technology
Sense of responsibility, diligent and a team player
Good computer skills and knowledge of Office applications
Good knowledge of English
Final exam conducted by the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK)
Training period: 3.5 years, shorter training period if prerequisites are met
Vocational school: Sandwich course at business/technical schools in Hanau or Frankfurt, Germany
